Genesis 3:11-13 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
Have you ever deviated in an exams? Oooh I have..and it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. Which is why understanding what is required of you is so important. Spend time with your Maker and understand Why He made you. This duty is yours solely – and you are accountable and responsible for it. Others may help you on the path of understanding and discovering it, but it is yours to discover.
Someone said to me the other day, “My Pastor said, my purpose is this so I must serve here”. Well, whatever your Pastor or teacher said must be affirmed by God in your heart as what you were created for. In the end, your excuse to God cannot be that my Pastor or husband made me do something else. No. Beyond the age of accountability, you are responsible for your choices and your life. The leader who got you in the wrong place will have an account to give for misleading the Lord’s flock. But you also will be responsible and accountable for CHOOSING to stay there when you knew you shouldn’t have. Be assured that God is a righteous judge.
Don’t fall into the mistake of Eve: “The serpent made me do it”. Or that of Adam: “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I ate.” You know very well the end of that story. They were all guilty and received their just recompense or judgement.
What I am saying to you, dearly beloved, is: NOBODY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF YOUR GOD-GIVEN ASSIGNMENT BUT YOURSELF. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PURPOSE, AND YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT. So make sure that nobody keeps you where you are not supposed to be. Make your CHOICES carefully. Be firm and strong and fulfill your ministry in Jesus name. Amen.
GRACEFUL MORNING
