Hebrews 2:14‭-‬15 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Jesus Christ was born as a man so that he could identify fully with our humanity – in order that He would defeat death for humanity. And guess what? HE DID.

The Bible says,

“through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Death has been a plague and an enigma since Adam. And the fear of death has held all men in bondage for thousands of years. It was Seneca who wrote, “It is stupid to die through the fear of death”, but that’s exactly what kills majority of people all day long. They can’t help it, they are in prison.

The Akan have a proverb that says, “When death grips a thing, life cannot rescue it”. But that’s not true for you the child of God. When you appear wherever there is darkness and death, you bring God’s LIGHT and LIFE there. You speak life into dead things and they come alive. That’s who you are. Glooooory!

So what must you do? UNDERSTAND AND HAVE THE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT DEATH IS ALREADY DEFEATED . You are not one of those who fear and quaver at the scent of anything dangerous or fatal. NOOO. You can look death straight in the face and ask, O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING? Why? Because Jesus has already won the victory for you, and death is already defeated. No wonder you are already dead. Hallelujah! GO ON AND REIGN IN LIFE WITH THAT CONSCIOUSNESS. Amen!
