1 Corinthians 1: 11-13 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
To understand the matter of the BODY OF CHRIST, you must be ready to unlearn and relearn. Sadly, there are many who have put a NO VACANCY sign on the gates of their mind. They are not willing to learn or hear anything that upsets the dogma of their denomination. As a result, they are stagnated and cannot grow in the knowledge of Christ.
The universal church is Christ’s Mystical Body, and Jesus Christ is the head of this body. Anyone that is born again, is organically infused into this Mystical Body by the Holy Spirit.
At that level, there are no separations, denominations, or sects. WE ARE ONE BODY. So Paul laments,
Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
I have a question for you that are creating sects and factions from your group or denomination; You that are earnestly contentious and treat other brethren as enemies because they are not in your group. My question is:
Is Christ divided? Did your Senior Pastor die for you? Or were you baptized in the name of your General overseer?
Then why the so many fighting, contention, and division among us? CHRIST IS THE REASON, DON’T MAKE IT ANY OTHER THING. Shalom to you!
GRACEFUL MORNING
