I Corinthians 12:14-17 For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?
Even though it is One Body, yet WE ARE DIFFERENT or MANY IN FUNCTION. We cannot all have the same preferences and perform the same functions. Failure to understand this leads people to say the church must all do the same thing and preach exactly the same thing. No.
“If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” 1 Corinthians 12:17-18
It’s called DIVERSITY IN UNITY – and it is God who has set them like that. We must not all necessarily wear the same clothes or teach in the same way; Our worship services do not have to follow the same pattern. In fact the Bible says, THERE ARE DIVERSITIES OF OPERATIONS BUT THE SAME GOD.
IF YOU ARE AN EYE STOP TRYING TO BE A TONGUE – For the body needs the eye as much as it needs the tongue. We must understand our uniqueness and our placement in the BODY. Know your purpose and know your function in and to the entire Body Of Christ – and don’t try to conform to what others are doing.
You will create serious problems for the Body of Christ if you miss your placement. I pray for you, THAT YOU WILL STAY AT YOUR POST AND NOT MISS YOUR PLACEMENT IN JESUS NAME. Amen.
Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
