Romans 6:5-7 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
When a man goes through the regeneration factory of Christ, the old product dies and is destroyed, and the man comes out a new product. ABSOLUTELY NEW WITH NO TRACE OF THE OLD. Through the Baptism of Regeneration with Christ, you died and a new you came forth.
So 2 Corinthians 5:17 says
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
What does this mean? It means the old desire, appetite, inclinations, standards died with Christ. You are not supposed to cling any longer to them. You have a new Lord now and Him only you must obey.
But this is where many of us are hanging: You are a new creation wanting to operate by the old rules of engagement. How is that possible? And funny enough, you will hear some believers and preachers say it doesn’t matter what you do after you are born again, under the cloak of grace. How does it not matter?
Don’t be deceived dear one, it matters very much how you live after regeneration. The Bible says, “Our old man is crucified with him, that henceforth we should no longer serve sin.” That is very instructive.
IN CHRIST YOU ARE A NEW MAN, LIVE AND OPERATE AS ONE. Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
