James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Revelations 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Whenever you take a test or examination in school and pass, you are awarded a degree for your efforts, right? Likewise, whenever you endure TESTS and TEMPTATIONS and pass it, you will receive A CROWN OF LIFE.
Take heart beloved, God is not unjust. When you suffer persecutions, afflictions and temptations for His Kingdom sake and for His Name’s sake, God takes notice and rewards you duly.
There are people who go through tough situations, which is not all because of any faults of theirs, or because they did something wrong. Let this comfort and encourage you to KEEP PRESSING ON. Don’t let go but keep your eyes on Him.
In this Journey Of Faith we are on, there is the possibility of losing the reward intended for you, if you don’t successfully bear what cross is meant for you.
In the Revelation unto John, Jesus said,
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” – Rev 3:11.
There are different levels of APPROVAL or PASSING THE TEST, and we will come to that later. But if you miss that which you were to do to merit a certain reward, it could be passed on to another; And if the other person does it well, he/she will have that reward/crown that was meant for you originally.
So the Bible says, some will be ASHAMED at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1Jn 2:28) because of this same thing of losing their reward. I pray that we will abide in Him and in the calling wherewith we are called so that we will obtain our full reward in the end. Amen. Blessed end of week to you.
GRACEFUL MORNING
