Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance… These are all the fruits or characteristics of your recreated spirit. Notice that I didn’t say they are the fruits of the Holy Spirit; Although these were put in you by the Holy Spirit during your born again experience, when He raised you up together with Christ. So now, as we speak, these are the fruits of YOUR SPIRIT. You have these elements in you.

So Jesus said in John 15:16,

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain”

One brother said to me, ‘Pastor, I don’t think I can be good. I am always doing bad things.’ I said to him, ‘NO SIR. Deep in your spirit is the ability for GOODNESS and LOVE…. You have it in you. God placed goodness in you, and He says you can do it hence you can. You just need to be taught how to bring this out through the Word of God and by the Spirit of God.‘

Learn to keep your gaze on Christ and on what God says you are in His Word. And soon enough, you will be doing just that. Glory to God!
