1 Corinthians 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble ;
Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
And finally, building with stubble is the opposite of building with precious stones: IT SIGNIFIES THE WORK AND LIVING COMING FROM AN EARTHEN SOURCE; WITHOUT TRANSFORMATION; LIFELESS.
All the babyhood and childlike traits and acts we do does not count in our eternal building before the Lord. They are lifeless as stubble, and are good only to be burnt. Which is why it’s important not to take delight in the fact that, you are only a child in Christ and still growing. I hear some believers often sing the chorus: “NO ONE IS PERFECT, I AM STILL GROWING.” And we use that as a cloak to cover our imperfections. But NO; Even though that is true, and growth is a process, you should understand that your childish deeds are like stubble before the Lord, and will be burnt at the end.
Which is why, it is so important to GROW UP in the Lord quickly. It is not enough to say, “I know who I am in Christ”; WHO IS “CHRIST IN YOU?”. We must see it in your WORDS and ACTIONS and LIVING. BE YE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF THE MIND. Hallelujah! Glory to God!
GRACEFUL MORNING
