Thank God for the Church of Pentecost, Methodist, Catholic , Presby, Assemblies of God ,
Salvation to the World Inc, ICGC, Lighthouse, et cetera, but God sees us beyond all these denominations and sects. Jesus prayed, “that they all may be one as we are one” (John17:1). The child of God is essentially infused into the body whose head is Christ by the Holy Spirit (1 corinthians 12:13). Your local church has its role but it fails if it teaches you not to see the other believer from another church as your brother or sister. Can the hand say it’s no longer part of the body and so doesn’t need the leg? (1 Corinthians 12:14-27)
You must be careful if you are devoted to your denomination or pastor or creed more than you are to Christ, for Christianity is simply devotion and commitment to CHRIST. Period! (1 Corinthians 1:10-12)
I wonder how we can call GOD our Father and spew such hatred against his other children from other denominations, I can’t understand how we can profess love to GOD and yet can’t stand our neighbour who is a believer from another ministry?
How did we get here? What did we miss?
The Father’s of Faith lived with over 3000 other brethren and lived in harmony (Acts 2:41-57), today, a church of less than 500 members can barely live without strife and resentment. Now, we see churches mock at the adversities of another church and throwing insults at them instead of sending prayers to God on their behalf. A believer today sees intercession as a waste of time because they haven’t finished praying about their personal needs. Oh God!
We learn the Word only to argue it out with other brethren; our corrections are done without love, and leaves people broken and worse off than before. What are we doing? Have we forgotten what the Lord told us about a house divided against itself? (Mark 3:25)
The epistles we are writing with our lives for our generation doesn’t portray the Jesus we speak of and His love.
What would you do if you saw Jesus weep and found out He was weeping because of you?
Because you were scattering what He was building?
Beloved, let us love and embrace one another for we are one in Christ
