Luke 13:6-9 He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”
How long shall a believer be allowed to remain FRUITLESS? Jesus answers this question to give us further insight into the matter of the fruitless believer.
Is it not amazing, how the owner of the vineyard asked the keeper, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down.’ You can see a sense of anger and indignation in his remark. He EXPECTED FRUITS ON THE TREE but found none. This is why I tell you, THE LORD DID NOT SAVE YOU TO BE SEEDFUL, BUT TO BE FRUITFUL. All the songs and confessions you make about knowing who you are in Christ is supposed to help you and reflect in your LIVING. The expectation is the FRUITS, not the SEED in you.
It depends on the species of fig, but 3 years is an average period of time for a fig tree to fruit. What does that mean? It means the Lord gives sufficient period of time for every believer to mature and be fruitful. It might differ from person to person but everyone will get enough allowance to be fruitful. Within this time, you can make mistakes; fall and rise many times.
But when you continue in your fruitlessness beyond your allowed period, a time comes when you will be CUT DOWN. Why? There is no use for the tree that will not fruit. It’s merely occupying space and wasting the ground. This is what we call ‘A WASTER OF GRACE’. Jesus went through a lot to purchase GRACE for you, only for you to waste it. You have become like the pig who tramples pearls under its feet. You are not worthy of those pearls and you will soon lose it.
Are you a Waster of Grace? Selah! MAY THE LORD HELP US! AMEN!
GRACEFUL MORNING

Two levels of commitment can help in our desire to be fruitful. Thus when
1.we are COMMITTED to maintaining a good relationship with the Holy Spirt
2. When we are COMMITTED to the Great commision.
With diligence and great alacrity in pursuit of the above two, our Master will be proud of us and he will grace us to bear much fruit. Thank you Pastor Patrick for this piece.
Thank you Reverend Jospeh for that addition. God bless you Sir!
