In Matthew 25: 43, Jesus said ‘….when I was imprisoned, you never came to visit me.’
Extending the love of Christ to all and doing as the Lord desires, On the 12th May 2022 the Master Builder Ministries together with brethren from Joy Embassy embarked on a journey to the Akuse prisons in the Eastern region of Ghana.
Being incarcerated could mostly spell doom and hopelessness. At that stage of a person’s life they can question every good thing in them and sometimes yield to the lie that they are of no good and so a visit of hope to anyone in such state travels a long way into the soul to revamp it as well as the mind and that’s what the Master Builder Ministries sought to do by the Grace of God.
Upon our arrival, we were welcomed and we presented our gifts of love unto them. We were then led into the forecout of the prisons itself where the inmates were kept – who welcomed us with much eagerness and joy. It was such a delight to meet them and see them exhibit such cheerfulness. As the message of Hope in our Lord Jesus Christ was shared with them, one could feel the streams of refreshing it brought.
Indeed the message of Christ is hope to the hopeless and peace to the troubled soul. So Paul the Apostle said in Romans 1:16 that the Gospel is the power of God to everyone who believes and so we are not ashamed of this Gospel and as the Spirit of the Lord was in our midst, hearts were opened unto the Lord as the prayer of salvation was said with the inmates. Many of them gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and there was joy both in heaven and in our hearts here on earth.
Testimony :
There was one man who said being in prison is where he realized his purpose thus, interceding both spiritually and physically for people.
And also the chaplain for the inmates was a Mulsim who by God’s grace had converted to Christianity. He requested that when next we came they would need some items that will aid them in their services.
We give glory to God for his restored hope in these lives. GLORY TO GOD!
