Mark 4:36-40 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he[Jesus] was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How  is it that you have no faith?”

In the passage above, while Jesus was asleep in the ship, there arose a great storm that would have sunk the ship and everyone in it.

QUESTION: Was it Jesus who sent the storm?

If you find yourself in any kind of storm of life and bad situation, is it Jesus bringing it your way? Is God the one causing the trouble in your life?

A BIG NO. WE KNOW JESUS IS NOT THE SOURCE OF THAT STORM. IN FACT, WHEN JESUS AROSE, HE REBUKED THE STORM AND BROUGHT PEACE. And what more? He used the opportunity to teach the disciples a lesson on Faith.

A gentleman cannot control his lust and jumps from one prostitute to the other. He eventually contracts HIV, and  that ends up making him sober for some reason. In his testimonies, he says, God made him get AIDS to teach him a lesson, and make him transform. NONSENSE. “You got AIDS from your own reckless lust, my guy”.

Understand this very well:

GOD DOES NOT PUT YOU IN BAD SITUATIONS IN ORDER TO TEACH YOU A LESSON. MOSTLY, YOU PUT YOURSELF INTO THEM BY YOUR OWN ACTIONS OR INACTIONS; OR SOMEONE ELSE DOES, OR THE DEVIL. GOD COMES IN TO RESCUE YOU AND TEACH YOU SOME GOOD LESSONS FROM THE SITUATION YOU HAVE PUT YOURSELF INTO.

 You will find this to be true: THAT MOSTLY, BEFORE ANY BAD SITUATION HAPPENS TO YOU, GOD WARNS YOU OR INSTRUCTS YOU BUT YOU DISREGARD THEM, OR DON’T EVEN HEAR THEM AT ALL. God has been trying to save you from that storm all along and He will save you even now.

I pray for you today, and I command every storm whirling around your life to be QUIET. BE RESCUED from Every Bad Situation now in Jesus name. Receive MERCY. May the Peace of God envelope you completely in Jesus name. Amen.
