Luke 10:17‭-‬19 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us IN YOUR NAME.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

In law, there are two basic types of The Power Of Attorney. There is the General Power Of Attorney and the Limited Power Of Attorney.

A General power of Attorney acts on behalf of the Grantor in any and all matters. From handling bank accounts, signing cheques, selling assets and property, medicals, etc. Whereas the Limited power of Attorney is restricted to specific matters(like just medical matters) and to a specific period of time (like for 2 years in the grantors absence).

The amazing thing is Jesus gave us a FULL and a GENERAL AUTHORITY in His name. He said,

“I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, AND OVER ALL the power of the enemy”.

And in John 16:23, He said,

“I say to you WHATEVER you ask the Father in my name He will give you”.

The scope of authority you have ‘in his name’ is EVERYTHING at ANYTIME. Don’t cower in fear, Child of God – Come boldly to the throne of Grace and make demands in that wonderful name of Jesus. You are Jesus’ representative here on earth. You are his attorney. Take your place today in Jesus name. Hallelujah!
