1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

You would realize that I haven’t focused the Expositions on the date for Christmas, whether Jesus was actually born on the 25th December or not, because that will take sometime to deduce from the scriptures. The fact is, depending on which part of the world you are, Christmas comes at different periods. In Russia for instance, Christmas is Jan 7th. And you will find different periods in different places.

But, I want you to be mindful of WHY Jesus was born, and its importance to the world. If we are commemorating the birth of Jesus, then it’s important to focus on Him and what he brought, rather than get lost in the customs and activities of the season. Christmas is not about the beautiful decorations and lights; it’s not about the ‘Christmas tree’ and presents; it’s not about Santa and the songs. If your christmas is not about CHRIST then it’s not a CHRISTmas but something else.

What is the relevance of Christmas to you?

GOD GAVE US HIS SON AS A GIFT. AND HIS SON, JESUS ALSO BROUGHT US LIFE as a gift – ETERNAL LIFE. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. This is why Jesus was born. Have you received His free gift of Life yet? If not, why don’t you do that now, before it’s too late. And if you have received this gift, PRESENT SAME TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T HAVE IT YET and change their lives for the best. Hallelujah!
