I John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN GIVEN IN CHRIST? You need to make a list of them so you can constantly remind yourself of them all the time. One of the first things you received when you got born again is ETERNAL LIFE – the life of God.
Every child can quote John 3:16:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
But how many of us really understand that we have this life. And how many of us live a life that depicts that we have God’s life in us.
It is this life that brings DIVINITY into your HUMANITY. When Peter said we have become partakers of the divine nature, it is because of eternal life in us. You cease to be an ordinary human being due to ZOE in your spirit. Praise God.
You know, the characteristics of any organism stems from the life in it. So a mango tree will display mango fruits and features because it has a mango life; a chicken egg will hatch and display fowl-like characteristics because it has the life of a fowl in it. Guess what? YOU RECEIVED THE LIFE OF GOD INTO YOU AT YOUR NEW BIRTH EXPERIENCE. THEREFORE IF YOU UNDERSTAND AND PROPERLY APPROPRIATE THIS, YOU WILL ONLY DISPLAY GOD-LIKE DEEDS. Hallelujah!
The child of God who understands this, CAN NEVER LIVE A NATURAL LIFE. YOURS IS A SUPERNATURAL LIFE – A LIFE OF THE WONDROUS EVERYDAY because you are a partaker of God’s very life and nature. Hallelujah!
So Apostle John says, He who has the Son has life. Wow! That’s me. I have the life of God in me. I have ZOE in my spirit. My entire being is flooded with ETERNAL LIFE. Gloooory! Praise God Forevermore!
