I Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Jesus promised that He will not leave us as orphans, and He gave us the Holy Spirit. The Amplified explains it further, it says,
‘I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.’
So you see, THE BELIEVER IS NEVER ALONE. You have the sweet person of the Holy Spirit with you all the time. You are not an orphan – without support, without comfort, without help. Nooo. Jesus made arrangements before his departure and left you in the company of the Allos paráklētos – Another of the same kind as Jesus.
Why then do many live and talk like they have no support in this life? Why would you oftentimes post on social media, “I am so lonely and bored… I need company”? Why? Because many of God’s children have not learnt to relate with the the Holy Spirit as a person, and we treat him as a non-entity many times. But He is a person and Jesus sent him to you to keep you company at all times – Never forget that.
It doesn’t matter who has left you, or who has broken up with you, YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. It’s their loss. The sweet Holy Spirit is your constant companion if you will learn to acknowledge HIS PERSON. And soon enough, He will bring the very right persons into your life that what you thought you loosed will seem like a joke.
The Holy spirit in your life is your Comforter, your Counselor, your Helper, your Intercessor, your Advocate, your Strengthener, and your Standby. Now tell me, HOW CAN YOU EVER BE ALONE? Have an awesome weekend in Jesus name. Amen.
