Isaiah 40:29-31, “29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
In fact, those who argue that, ‘LIFE IS FULL OF UPs AND DOWNs’, are not completely wrong. INCONSISTENCY is a trait of humanity, as CONSISTENCY IS A CHARACTER OF GOD.
So Isaiah says in chapter 40:28,
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”
So you see, God doesn’t grow tired or weary; He doesn’t fluctuate – HE IS PERMANENT OR CONSISTENT. And you can contract this PERMANENCY OF GOD when you learn to TARRY and STAY in the presence of God through PRAYER and FELLOWSHIP. That is why the Bible says, ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint’
AMAZING! So a man can stay long enough in God’s presence such that he contracts the ability of PERMANENCY from God? Where this man would keep running and never be weary? And keep walking and never faint? And keep working and doing exploits and never be down? An emphatic YES.
Herein lies the secret of living a consistent life in Christ: TAKE DELIGHT IN STAYING AND TARRYING WITH GOD IN PRAYER, AND SOON ENOUGH YOU WILL REFLECT THE CONSISTENCY OF THE SPIRIT. The man in Christ is made to live only an UPWARD AND FORWARD LIFE in all areas of life. Determine to live that life in Jesus name. Amen!
Your weekend is blessed.
