Ephesians 4:22-24 AMPC Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.
When the Bible talks about the Transformation of the believer, there are generally two Greek words involved: metamorphoo and metaschematizo.
So when Romans 12:2 says, “be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” the word here is metamorphoo = meta(change) + morph(form). Which means something happens to the believer, which causes him/her to have a change of form into another form.
Your TRANSFORMATION is the complete change of your inward form in character and conduct into the same image of Christ in all his moral excellencies, which is effected by the Holy Spirit when you abide in the presence of God through PRAYER, and when you behold Christ through GOD’S WORD.
Whoosh! Yeah, I know. That’s very loaded. Why don’t you go over that definition again, and take sometime and ponder over it and apply it to your Christian life. Receive light in Jesus name as you do that. You are blessed indeed! Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
