Matthew 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Colossians 2:15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
The strong man commanding the prison of hell is satan. And Jesus was brought here as a prisoner because he came as a substitute for sinful man.
“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.” – Isaiah 53:7,8
I want you to catch the unfolding of events with Jesus in hell as our sin payment. He is the King of Kings yet here he is, led as a SHEEP BEFORE ITS SHEARERS. Weighted down and made disfigured by the burden of sin and the agony of death, he couldn’t utter a word. My king and my Lord is now a prisoner because of me. He did nothing wrong – there was no record of sin against him. Yet he went through this, just for me.
This was so terrible that the scripture says that no one will want to be associated with him. If you knew him and you met him on the street, you would be hiding from Him. You wouldn’t want people to see that you knew that man, Jesus. The Bible says, “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.” (Isaiah 53:3)
Oh, He had become that SHAMEFUL. No wonder even Peter had to deny him thrice.
MY JESUS, An epitome of GLORY and BEAUTY descended into the lowest point of SHAME and UGLINESS so that I may rise up with him in GLORY and RADIANCE. He exchanged his place for mine. OH HOW HE LOVES ME..THE DEPTH OF HIS LOVE. Hallelujah. Have a blessed weekend my friend.
GRACEFUL MORNING
