Genesis 2:21‭-‬23 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”

The earthly marriage between a man and his wife is a microcosm of the ETERNAL MARRIAGE that God has planned.

Now, a careful look at the very first earthly marriage between Adam and Eve, will reveal to us, how the marriage between Christ and the Church is and will be. Let’s start from the ORIGIN of the woman.

Adam SLEPT and out of his RIB or TSELA the woman came forth – Jesus Christ SLEPT(death) for 3 days and out of Him the Church was birthed by the resurrection. This is why, when Adam saw Eve, he exclaimed, ” THIS IS NOW BONE OF MY BONES AND FLESH OF MY FLESH”; similarly, the Bible says,

WE(the Church) ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY, OF HIS FLESH, AND OF HIS BONES.” (Ephesians 5:30).

Oh this is so beautiful.

That is why 1 Corinthians 12:27 says,

“Now YE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST.”

Beloved, WE CAME FORTH OUT OF JESUS CHRIST just as EVE WAS PRODUCED OUT OF ADAM. We are BONE OF HIS BONES and FLESH OF HIS FLESH. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
