James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
A vacillating and unstable life is merely a reflection of an unstable mind.
When things in your life seem unstable, and your experiences are always a mix of good and bad, you have to check the state of your heart and mind concerning the object under consideration.
Some DELAYS of the physical manifestation of your prayers and desires is as a result of the frequent changing of your mental pictures and words. There is no definitiness in your mind. Today you say you are blessed, tomorrow you are broke, and then you are blessed, and then you say you are dry again. So what exactly are you? Broke or blessed? Can’t you make up your mind?
It’s like when you place an order from a restaurant and the meal was supposed to be delivered in 30mins. But you call every 5 mins to change the order. You can be sure that the original estimated time will also keep changing so long as you keep changing the request. That’s what most of us do to ourselves: our mind is not stable concerning our desire and request, and that’s because our believe is shallow. WHEN YOU HAVE FIRM FAITH IN GOD AND IN HIS WORD, YOUR MIND WILL BE RESOLUTE AND UNWAVERING CONCERNING YOUR REQUEST, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE STORMS YOU SEE.
There must be no conflicts or doubts in your mind when you pray. Because it is not merely what you wish that you get, but what you BELIEVE TO BE TRUE. The Bible says, THE DOUBLE MINDED PERSON SHOULD NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD. Have a glorious weekend in His name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
