James 1:18 AMP It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes].

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

How did we become God’s children by birth?

Pastor James answers,

OF HIS OWN WILL HE BEGAT US BY THE WORD OF TRUTH.

Apostle Peter also says,

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead -1 Peter 1:3

Through Baptism, by the death and resurrection of Jesus we were born again as new creatures with ETERNAL LIFE – the life of God working in us. Our old life was terminated when we died and was buried with Christ, and we arose together with Him from the dead as Children of God with His Life.

THE WORD, is God’s incorruptible sperm by which He produced us. That is why, the Faith that Saves is only produced by the preaching of the Word of God – A man can be as good as Mother Theresa, but without the WORD he is as damned as the AntiChrist. When this WORD comes into contact with a man’s spirit, it fertilizes with it and REGENERATION happens, and a NEW MAN is born. This new man has the GENES/DNA of God which is ETERNAL LIFE; hence he is a Child of God – and God is his FATHER. Shout Glooooory!
