James 1:16-17 Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live

Whenever a tsunami hits and thousands are killed we say it’s God. When there is an earthquake or bush fire causing loss of lives and properties, we say it must be God causing it.

We rule out all the activities of men and beast that could cause fires. We forget our activities that can affect the atmosphere and ozone and alter the tidal waves in effect. We are ignorant that creation has life and emotions and all the wickedness of men can make creation react in its own way. We forget that there is a wicked one who is seeking to destroy and kill. We excuse ourselves of our involvement and accuse God falsely.

A group of church people are traveling to a convention in a bus. And the driver is driving at 80kmph on a road that has a 40kmph limit, and he doesn’t pay attention to other traffic laws so the car crashes and the people die. Was it God who killed them? Why would we then question God and make Him responsible for their death?

Why do we ascribe everything to the SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD? We say, God is all powerful and He can do anything, so all things whether good or bad is Him. And we leave out MAN’S OWN CHOICES AND ACTIONS which produces its own results.

But Apostle James says, GOD ONLY GIVES GOOD AND PERFECT GIFTS. HE IS CONSTANT AND CAN BE TRUSTED ON THIS. HE DOESN’T FLUCTUATE FROM GOOD TO EVIL TO GOOD. You have to know the CHARACTER of God before you begin to accuse Him falsely.

OUR CHOICES AND ACTIONS HAVE RESULTS AND CONSEQUENCES – DON’T MAKE GOD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURS.
