Romans 10:9‭-‬10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

One of the requirements for a person to be born again is to confess JESUS AS LORD of your life. And everyone who has obtained salvation must have done that.

But there’s a gap between what you have professed and what you actually practice – for many profess what they don’t mean, and mean what they don’t profess. That’s why Jesus said,

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” – Matthew 7:21-23

It’s not enough to CONFESS JESUS IS LORD. When you say Jesus is your Lord, do you understand what you are saying? And do you mean what it means? Selah!

AND IF YOU DIDN’T MEAN IT, ARE YOU REALLY SAVED? Can Jesus be your saviour and not your Lord? Selah! Selah!
