Colossians 1:19‭-‬20 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

The was a heretical group called the “Gnostics” who taught people that Jesus was one of the high ranking angels. This is quite like what Islam teaches that Jesus is one of the prophets. So Paul was compulsed to debunk that, and he explained that JESUS CHRIST IS THE PLEROMA OF GOD.

PLEROMA here means FULLNESS, COMPLETENESS. It means the totality of all of God’s divine powers, wealth, attributes and perfection have their permanent abode in Jesus. It pleased the Father to put all of Himself in the Son, leaving nothing out, and reveal him to the world as Christ. Every quality you associate with God, you will find in Jesus: Eternal, Infinite, Unchanging, All-powerful….et cetera.

Do you see how Jesus is not one of the prophet’s as some erroneously teach; and he is not a high ranking angel. It was He who created the angels. He is the FULLNESS of the Godhead; HE IS GOD.

I am trying to help you to see that JESUS IS LORD BY RIGHT – It pleased the Father to make it so. His Lordship is without question. And anyone who argues with the Lordship of Jesus has not yet met him; Bacause when you encounter His Divine Personage, you cannot but bow to Him as Lord. That is why not only All Persons, but ALL THINGS (animate and inanimate) will be reconciled unto Him in the end. He is the END-GOAL of creation. Hallelujah!
