2 Timothy 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Every one of us has a purpose for our lives. An assignment for which we were created. And good as it may sound, when you discover and fully fulfill the purpose for your life, you qualify yourself for a crown: The CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
In Acts 20:24, Apostle Paul describes his race/purpose:
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
Every one of us has their own assignment and purpose given by God unto us. That becomes your own ministry and you must DISCOVER, PREPARE for it, and FULFILL it. Your Pastor has his ministry, but so do you also. Don’t be a bench warmer, and don’t be a fence-sitter. Be active on your calling and ministry. Make full proof of it. That is what Paul said to Archippus, that,
“Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.”-(Col 4:17)
When I discovered that my assignment is my responsibility and equally my accountability, I resolved to go all out for it with no apology whatsoever. NOBODY WILL ACCOUNT FOR YOU ON HOW YOU FULFILLED YOUR ASSIGNMENT, BUT YOURSELF. Take the bold step today, and stay on it.
Friend, we are not here for fun. HAVE YOU DISCOVERED GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE? HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR MINISTRY? AND ARE YOU FULFILLING IT? Selah! Selah!
Have a fulfilling week in His Name. Amen!
