Matthew 25:6-9 And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
We have seen how keeping EXTRA OIL in extra jars is very crucial for JUSTIFYING YOUR INCLUSION to the Bride Of Christ; The activities of the spirit that keeps your fire burning and your fervency alive must be your regular companion. What does that mean?
Ephesians 5:18-21 says,
‘And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs , singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.’
All the above highlighted activities are things you do that helps you to be filled in the spirit – such as singing spiritual songs, giving thanks, submission in the fear of God, etc.
By understanding this, you will find how very important the songs you listen to affects your fervency and your spiritual filling. Make no mistakes about it, and don’t subscribe to those who say, “it’s just a song”. Today, when you take the average Christians phone, you will find that a huge percentage of the songs there are worldly songs. And the excuse will be, ‘They are JUST songs for entertainment’. A THOUSAND TIMES NO. They are not JUST songs my dear. All of those songs and things you are watching are the reasons why you can’t seem to overcome your problem with lust. Can’t you understand this? WORLDLY SONGS ARE NOT JUST SONGS – they are dimming your fire and making you less spirit-filled, and more worldly.
In the end, these are all contributing to making you a FOOLISH VIRGIN to your Bridegroom who is Christ. Be admonished, Child of God! Have a spirit-filled week in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
