1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ

PAIN or SUFFERING has its purpose.

Apostle James tells us how that,

PRECIOUS VIRTUES ARE DEVELOPED IN TRIALS(James 1:3,4).

In a nutshell,  EVERY PAIN (whether tests from God or temptations from the devil) IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD YOUR FAITH AND BE REFINED LIKE GOLD IN FIRE.

This is why Paul tells us in Romans 5:3,4 (AMPC)

“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.”

When your faith is TRIED, it’s just like how gold is passed through fire. Because of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit in you, you can take and withstand the fire; And you shouldn’t go through this sad and complaining and crying, but rather with joy and excitement. Because in the end, you are coming out REFINED, SHINY and GLOWING.

In the end, you will be found in PRAISE, HONOR AND GLORY. Many people see gold and praise the beauty and radiance it gives but they don’t know the fire it has endured to look like that. Many will pay huge sums of money for a gold chain or a gold watch, but that gold went through intense fire before it became that valuable. SUCH IS YOU – all the trials and afflictions are refining you unto BEAUTY AND GLORY.  Take heart my brother – Cheer up my sister. Hallelujah!
