Romans 12:1‭-‬2 AMPC I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

The process of getting all the amazing qualities you have in Christ to come out of you, so that they become your constant and default experience is what we call TRANSFORMATION or METAMORPHOSIS. In Biblical typology, this is the building with Precious Stones.

You see, it’s not enough to say you have Love,Peace,Joy…etc in you and yet we don’t experience any of that from you. It simply shows you have not been TRANSFORMED. Those virtues remain in you as potential energy; and have not been converted into its kinetic energy form – which gets the work done. It’s like a child with the potential of being a doctor and put in medical school, but doesn’t attend lectures and hence never graduates to actually become a doctor.

WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED TO BE IN CHRIST MUST NOT REMAIN A POTENTIAL IN YOU FOREVER – You must learn to bring it out through TRANSFORMATION.

You can’t be lazy about this. There are things the believer must constantly be doing to grow – and you must ensure that you are not missing them. One of those is, Setting your mind on the WORD OF GOD and on CHRIST daily. It will bring you a RENEWING OF THE MIND. Which will bring about your TRANSFORMATION – and this is where you want to be. For this is when CHRIST IS ACTUALLY BEING FORMED IN YOU.

I pray for you, that the transforming work of the Holy Spirit will be perfected in your soul and in your body in Jesus name. Amen!
