Ephesians 4:3-6 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Concerning the ONENESS OF THE SPIRIT, there are SEVEN (7) AREAS by which all believers are ONE according to the scriptures. It’s important that you know them as a child of God. They are:

▪️ ONE BODY

▪️ ONE SPIRIT

▪️ ONE HOPE OF OUR CALLING

▪️ ONE LORD

▪️ ONE FAITH

▪️ ONE BAPTISM

▪️ ONE GOD AND FATHER

These are the vital elements that bond us together as children of God. If you say you are a Christian, these are the defining characteristics that you possess together with other Christians that separate you from the world; and you must understand them.

It’s the misunderstanding of this our common heritage that arouses divisions and fightings among us, making the Body of Christ behave as enemies even though we are siblings.

Just as biological siblings share common genetic materials such as blood and DNA or Chromosomes, the spiritual family in Christ shares these 7 traits in common: ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT, ONE HOPE, ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER. Herein lies our ONENESS and COMMONALITY and I want every sibling of mine to know and understand these. Glory to God.
