John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.  Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Did you ever recognize it, that Jesus actually gave the church (you and I) a blank open cheque to ask whatever we want in His name?

Thinking about it, I realize that it’s because our father is a Rich Father. You see the way in a rich home, they can ask the child, “What would you like to eat?”, and whatever the child wanted she gets?  You don’t try that in a poor home. Infact, the meal is just one, so you are either eating or you want to starve. Hahaaa! The audacity to give such an open request is backed by complete trust that whatever is requested can be fulfilled. There is more than enough to meet every need.

Jesus said,

“MY FATHER WILL GIVE YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK IN MY NAME”.

Wow. That is such a bold statement to make. What is in that name? What wealth and power and ability is in that name? What can it do? Or rather, what can it not do? When I think about it, I ask myself, How have we not been able to take advantage of that name and used his name accordingly?

WHAT IS IN THAT NAME OF JESUS? May you receive understanding as the Holy Spirit unveils that to us. Amen.
