Job 33:14-16 For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds, Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.
Prayer is a two-way street between man and God. Just like in any COMMUNICATION, information must be exchanged between the two parties involved. So when you speak to God in prayer He speaks back to you. The question is, have you learnt how to receive His response?
True. When you speak to the Father in prayer, he always speaks back to you, and you must learn to listen and receive what he is saying to you. But sadly many believers have not learnt THE ART OF RECEIVING the answers to their prayers. We talk, talk, talk, get up, say Amen and leave.
So Job says,
‘For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.’
And that has been one of the major problems regarding prayer: The PERCEPTION and the RECEPTION. Many of us have not learnt or been taught how to RECEIVE or HEAR back from God when we pray. It’s just like the little prophet Samuel, who did not know when God was speaking to him and had to be instructed by his mentor, Eli, that it was God talking and was shown how to respond.
Don’t be in a hurry to say Amen when you talk to God in prayer. Learn to LISTEN AND RECEIVE back from Him, for your father is not deaf and dumb; HE SPEAKS. Hallelujah! Have a glorious week in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
