Romans 8:18-21 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Granted, this world we live in is suffocating under the chains of sin, death and decay. There is suffering and frustration in the world. The entire creation or nature has been plunged into a curse of corruption right from the garden. And both man and nature have been suffering ever since under this futility. It’s a dying world.
Man battles with his own weaknesses and struggles to live right and do right; On top of that, a lot of good people suffer bad things by no fault of theirs. Besides the internal struggles, there is the external decaying of our world. Listen to the news, and you will hear everything wrong with our world: Our sun is dying, ozone depleting, overpopulation, food shortage, pandemics, and on and on.. Yet the situation is not hopeless. Paul reckons that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. THERE IS ALWAYS A HOPE OF GLORY FOR THE MAN IN CHRIST.
Whiles the world sobs in despair, the Christian looks up with HOPE. You are in this dying world, but you are also in Christ – AND IN CHRIST YOU CAN NEVER BE WITHOUT HOPE. Cheer up beloved!
There is always light at the end of the tunnel. If you are in Christ, you have hope. Shout Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
