2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
At the end of life, there is going to be the Judgement Seat Of Christ, or what we call the “Bema Seat”. This is a rewards ceremony, where the crowns and rewards are awarded to the winners according to their works
What is the BEMA?
It is a tribunal for rewards. In Bible days, at the large Olympic arenas in Rome, there was an elevated seat on which the judges of the contest sat. That is the BEMA. After the contests were over, the successful competitors would assemble before the BEMA to receive their rewards or crowns.
Likewise this is how the BEMA of Christ will be. This ceremony is not for everyone, but for only the believers to come and receive rewards for the things done in the body whiles on earth. Whiles all believers will be present, it is only the overcoming believers who will be called upon to step forward to receive their crowns. And all eyes will see. If you have no crown, sorry, you won’t be called.
That is what Paul meant when He said in 2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
May the Lord help us to fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on our CROWNS on that day. Say Amen! Enjoy a BLISSFUL WEEK IN JESUS NAME.
GRACEFUL MORNING
