Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Daniel 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
So how does one ensure that they have the right motives for what they do? GOD’S WORD.
The Word of God is so deep and powerful that it can discern the thoughts and intents of our hearts. It goes into the bone and the bone marrow; it touches your soul and your spirit. This is what you should do then:
Subject your motives and every action to God’s Word always. It will filter the good from the evil, and the right from the good. When it does, be honest and sincere with yourself and make amends. WEIGH YOUR OWN MOTIVES, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT BE WEIGHED. The word of God is meant to culture you – it shows us how to do everything.
So ask yourself? WHY AM I DOING THIS? WHAT REASONS DOES GOD’S WORD TELL US TO DO THIS FOR? ARE THOSE MY TRUE REASONS/ MOTIVATION? Probe yourself that way..and you will not be weighed; for the scripture says,
“For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” (1 Corinthians 11:31, KJV)
This will make your prayer, giving, and living very effective and effectual. Praise God Forevermore. May this week be a pure and fruitful one for you in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
