Matthew 13:24-26 NKJV [24] Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; [25] but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. [26] But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
As we have began a new year, many of us would have received visions and dreams from the Lord for the year. Some of us might have drawn plans and beautiful resolutions for the year; and then sadly go to sleep. But you know, YOUR VISION WON’T RUN ITSELF IN THE BEGINNING – YOU NEED TO MAKE REGULAR EFFORTS TO FUEL IT AND RUN IT, or else the vision is as good as dead.
Having a vision is like setting the GPS destination in your car and setting off – Let’s say you set the destination from Accra to Tamale. You know that your car will need regular fueling for it to arrive at that destination, and you would make plans to fill the tank on several stops along that long journey. In similar fashion, you must not sleep on your vision if you are going to accomplish it – you must keep fueling it and driving it.
Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.”
WHEN YOU HAVE GOOD PLANS AND VISIONS AND GO TO SLEEP, YOU MIGHT WAKE UP TO SEE TARES ON YOUR FIELD.
There are some of us who will begin fervently towards that destination and then SLEEP along the line. My friend calls it “initial gragra”. But I pray for you, that the Lord will give you strength in your bones and oil in your lamp to run with the vision until the end, in Jesus name. Amen. Have a great week in His name.
GRACEFUL MORNING
