II Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Even though the fruits of the spirit are supposed to be in the believer, will you find a believer who does the opposite? YES YOU MAY. Though the Love of God is shared abroad in the heart of the New man in Christ, can you encounter a believer who does unloving and selfish deeds? YES YOU CAN AND YOU WILL.

Does that make the believer any less a believer and hence not born again? Look at it this way:

When a woman gives birth. The 2-month old baby cannot walk, and may not speak but does that mean he is not a human being? Well, all human beings walk so since this baby is not walking, he probably is not a human being. Is that the conclusion we make? No, we don’t make that conclusion because we know that the baby has the ability of walking and talking in him. He may not be walking today and cannot talk because he needs to GROW. And we are patient for that growth process to happen.

Likewise all the wonderful fruits and characteristics of the spirit are in you even though you might not be doing them now. When you learn to ABIDE in God’s presence by PRAYER and learn to BEHOLD CHRIST through GOD’S WORD constantly, you will soon GROW into that same IMAGE OF CHRIST from glory to glory; and soon you will be walking and talking like Christ. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
