Isaiah 40:10-11 Listen carefully, the Lord God will come with might, And His arm will rule for Him. Most certainly His reward is with Him, And His restitution accompanies Him. He will protect His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom; He will gently and carefully lead those nursing their young.
The next important thing about a Shepherd’s rule over the flock is that, THE SHEPHERD PROTECTS THE FLOCK FROM HARM, ADVERSITY AND DANGER.
The lambs(ie, young) and the nursing mothers(ie, weak) must be treated with special sympathy and tender care. When an Ewe gives birth to lambs, she is usually very weak, and the young lambs are also usually too feeble to walk. So the shepherd will be with the mothers and protect them very specially and carry the lambs in his arms for days until they can walk. The Good Shepherd knows how to give Special Tender Loving Care(TLC) to those who need it.
That’s why the Bible says,
“He will protect His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom; He will gently and carefully lead those nursing their young.” – Is 40:11
We are not all at the same level of growth and strength. So we must be sensitive and tender towards the weak and young in faith. Dear strong brother/sister please don’t come and terrorize me with your faith. ALLOW!
May you have a wonderful week full of Tender Loving Care from God the Father in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
