1 Peter 1:1‭-‬2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, UNTO OBEDIENCE and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name

I have asked the question, CAN JESUS BE YOUR SAVIOUR WITHOUT BEING YOUR LORD?  If your answer to that is NO, then the succeeding question is, ARE YOU REALLY SAVED IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO OBEY JESUS? Seeing that, Lordship always calls for obedience?

The Apostle Peter in 1Peter and Paul in Romans said, WE HAVE RECEIVED GRACE UNTO or FOR OBEDIENCE. The full salvation equation is GRACE through FAITH unto WORKS. There is always a call for SURRENDER and OBEDIENCE to the will of the Master.

So the ones who say they have believed in Jesus but are not ready to surrender their lives to him, or obey his leading, are simply not saved – they are counterfeit brethren. And you must be weary of such. Unfortunately, there are many masquerading as sheep but are wolves. There are even some dressed in shepherds apparel but are ravening wolves seeking to devour the flock. And you must be careful.

Jesus admonished us in Matthew 10:16,

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
