I Thessalonians 3:3-4 That no one should be shaken by these afflictions; FOR YOU YOURSELVES KNOW THAT WE ARE APPOINTED TO THIS. For, in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know.
This is a hard saying but true nonetheless:
EVERY TRUE BELIEVER OF CHRIST IS APPOINTED TO BE A MARTYR FOR THE LORD, WHETHER LITERALLY OR NOT LITERALLY. YOU MUST LIVE AS A DEAD MAN.
Please understand this for it is very important:
The day you got born again, by identification you actually died and was buried with Christ through baptism. This happened in your spirit. And the journey of your faith is actually to translate all the realities of your spirit (including death) unto your soul and eventually to your body. This is what we call Transformation or Maturity.
I know this is quite tough to take in, but the time is coming where we must move away from the wimpish, cowardly sugar-coated idea of Christianity. The believer will need to be tough and rugged for the times ahead.
Why? Because you are dead. Colossians 3:3 says,
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
This death should not only be in the spirit, but you must be ready to live it out in your soul and in your body. WHAT MORE CAN ANYONE DO TO A DEAD MAN/WOMAN? Think about that! Selah!
Your week will be glorious in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
