John 15:2,8 AMPC Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.

When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

So there are 2 kinds of branches: The FRUITFUL ones, and the UNFRUITFUL ones. But this is strange? How is it possible to have a branch connected to a tree, and yet remains completely UNFRUITFUL?

How can someone be a Christian and yet remain unfruitful? How can you be in Christ, yet the Christ life is not finding expression in you? There are various explanations and levels at which this occurs; the first one is what I call IMPROPER JOINS.

Now, if you remember a little bit of your Agric Science, you should be familiar with GRAFTING. This is a technique where a branch or portion of one plant(called the scion) is joined into the stem/root of another plant(called the stock). But this joining does not always work, thus producing fruits. For GRAFTING to work, INOSCULATION must take place. What is that? That simply means that the two parts must be compatible and their vascular tissues must fuse together so that the juice or sap or life will flow from the stock into the scion.  (I hope that wasn’t too confusing).

There are some Christians like that; their joining to Christ is improper and hence  their salvation is incomplete.  In the scriptures, Jesus calls these ones FALSE DISCIPLES. Mind you, these are not unbelievers. They have believed in Jesus ‘supposedly’; but their belief and surrender is incomplete and so they are not properly joined to Christ.

Beloved, check your own alignment. ARE YOU PROPERLY JOINED TO CHRIST? IS YOUR UNION WITH CHRIST VITAL OR MERELY MECHANICAL? IS THE LIFE OF THE VINE FINDING EXPRESSION THROUGH YOU? Selah! Have a beautiful week in Jesus name. Amen.

                GRACEFUL MORNING
