Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Proverbs 6:2 You have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth.

Few of us truly realize the effect our confessions have on our hearts and lives; And the effect it has on our enemy’s heart.

The devil hears you make confessions of failure, of sickness, of lack, and apparently he doesn’t forget. He holds on to it, and uses it against you. The strength he has is that, these are your OWN TESTIMONIES, they are your OWN WORDS. It’s like the way someone says something which is recorded without his knowledge, then later brought into court as evidence against him in his trial.

You can argue and cry as much as you like, once that evidence is played and is proven to be your voice, there is little you can do. You have indicted your own self. This is what the Bible calls, ENSNARED BY THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH.

“you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth.” Proverbs 6:2

This is why you have to be careful what you affirm. The fact that everyone is saying it doesn’t mean it is for you to say. YOUR WORDS WILL SPEAK FOR YOU, OR AGAINST YOU IN THE DAY OF TRIAL.
