Matthew 13:3,5,20‭-‬21 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed…. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.  But since they have no root, they last only a short time. WHEN TROUBLE OR PERSECUTION COMES BECAUSE OF THE WORD, they quickly fall away.

So what we are saying is that there are these 3 terms you must grasp:

TRIALS, TESTS, and TEMPTATIONS

When the intent of a TRIAL is to evaluate or examine you in order to approve or pass you for a reward, it is called a TEST. On the other hand, when the purpose of a TRIAL is to make you sin and stumble, it is a TEMPTATION. And this can be brought to you by Satan or Other People who want you to fall. But even in that, God makes you able to withstand or escape through His Word and His Spirit in you. So God doesn’t bring the TEMPTATION but with it, he could display his strength in you.

Consider a student who has been trained in martial arts and has successfully graduated, passing his master’s internal exams (TESTS). One day he goes out and he is attacked by some bandits (TEMPTATION). His master is not the one who sent the thieves but with the skills the young man has acquired from his master, he is able to overcome the thieves. That should give you a clearer picture.

God does TEST or TRY you. In fact,  you will be TRIED for every major Word of God you have received. Jesus said above, that troubles and persecutions will come BECAUSE OF THE WORD. Every Knowledge and Revelation you receive in the Word Of God will be tested- so you must be ready for that. If not, how do you demonstrate that you have learnt the course? If you don’t sit for the final exams, how do we know that you understood the lessons taught? LoL.

Receive strength to be well grounded and rooted in the Word so as to pass every TEST of your faith and overcome every TEMPTATION of the enemy in Jesus name. Say Amen. It’s going to be a victorious week for you in Jesus name.
