Judges 7:2-3 And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.
The devil wants to sow THOUGHTS and SEEDS of fear in your heart. So long as he can do that in any area of your life, he holds a foothold in that department of your life. How many people started the month or the last quarter of the year in fear concerning their health; fear in their finance/jobs; fear in their lives and their families?
This story of Gideon and his men always fascinates me. Out of 32,000 men who dressed and came for the battle, 22,000 of them were all afraid and filled with fear. And the moment they were provided with the opportunity to stay or return, they quickly run back with their tails between their legs; leaving only 10,000. All along they were scared to death.
How many of God’s children live with fear and anxiety like those 22,000 men? They wake up every morning with damning fear in their hearts. This fear cripples them and makes them incapable of doing the things that God has so endued them with ability to do. If they had the opportunity they will run back like those 22,000 men in Judges 7. Listen beloved,
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND. ARISE AND MARCH ON IN FAITH, SOLDIER OF GOD. DO NOT BE AFRAID FOR THE GREATER ONE LIVES IN YOU. Hallelujah!
I pray for you, THAT MAY YOUR HEART BE FILLED WITH DIVINE FAITH AND BOLDNESS TO DO THAT WHICH THE LORD HAS PLACED BEFORE YOU IN JESUS NAME. Amen! Have a glorious week in His Name.
GRACEFUL MORNING
