Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The last vital element that bonds as together as Christians and makes us siblings is that we have ONE GOD WHO IS FATHER TO US ALL.
Indeed there are various levels of understanding of the term, ‘Father’. There is Father as:
*Source
*Creator/Founder
*Title of honor
*Progenitor/Ancestor/Begottenness
*Elderly/Seniority
*One in authority
Whereas God is the Creator(father) of all persons, whether Christian or non-christian, his ‘Fatherhood’ in terms of ‘Begottenness’ is peculiar to Christians. In that regard, HE IS GOD TO ALL CREATION, BUT FATHER TO ALL BELIEVERS. And we are His Children as a result. ‘As many as believed in Jesus, to them He gave the right to become children of God.’
Is that not amazing? The Christian idea of God begins in love. The most amazing thing about the Christian God is not that He is King(even though He is), not that He is judge(even though He is), but that He is FATHER – YOUR FATHER AND MY FATHER. That is a depiction of LOVE. Can you see that? Hallelujah! May your week be so blessed. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
