Then there are those who find it hard to pray God’s will to be done in their lives. They ask, what if God’s will is not what I want? Someone asked me one time, “What if God wills me to be a preacher and I want to be a banker?” I smiled. You see, such questions are born from the fact that such a person does not know the father’s love. If you know that God loves you more than you love yourself and he knows the outcome of every possible route you take, will he place you somewhere that will harm you?
Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
You are merely looking at the present moment. God is looking from eternity past to eternity future and from that He has a plan for you. His thoughts are far higher than our thoughts. GO FOR GOD’S WILL ALWAYS. I LIKE TO TELL HIM, ‘THY WILL BE DONE IN MY LIFE AS IT IS IN HEAVEN’.
1 John 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Asking according to his will is asking in line with all the laws of prayer we have covered from God’s Word. For instance, praying with a selfish interest is not God’s will; and the scripture says he doesn’t even hear it. Because someone cheated you, he and his family should be destroyed. Oh no. You don’t know what spirit you are made of. In fact whiles you are praying to kill them, God is devising and working out ways to save them.
YOU KNOW GOD’S WILL FROM GOD’S WORD AND GOD’S SPIRIT. The more of God’s word you know, the more accurate your prayers will be; And the more answered prayers you will have. How does your prayer connect to the purposes of God on earth? When you pray is it just about you or you are seeking God’s kingdom to be established?
God wants to accomplish a lot of things on earth, but he needs man. God just can’t come and do anything on earth without man’s consent because of the LAW OF TERRITORIES. So, the man who knows how to bring the father’s will into being on earth, has discovered the secret of partnership with God. You have become God’s priced asset and he doesn’t joke with you at all. He will rebuke kings for your sake. Praise God.
One other way to pray according to the will of God is to pray in tongues. Sometimes we do not even know what to pray for as we ought to; but as you pray in the spirit, your spirit prays without your understanding. Then the Holy Spirit begins to pray through you.
Romans 8:26-27
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
…because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
As a spirit filled believer, LEARN TO PRAY IN TONGUES A LOT – it’s safest there. Apostle Paul said, I speak in tongues more than you all(1Cor 14:18). As you pray in the spirit, you are speaking mysteries to God and to your world. Things just begin to happen according to the will of God. Hallelujah!
Then as you spend more quality time with God in prayer in the spirit, the Holy Spirit can communicate God’s Will to you. You may feel it as a burden in your heart. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will just bring someone in need or in some trouble to mind. If you are sensitive to the Spirit of God and care about God’s Will being done, you will selflessly direct your prayers there – you won’t quench the Spirit by brushing it off. As you become well-versed in this, you will see that your prayer life is not just about your needs, but you will be mostly praying for others according to God’s will. YOU HAVE BECOME GOD’S PARTNER ON EARTH. You have entered the world of endless possibilities. Glory to God.
