The Word of God is so powerful that it can discern the thoughts and intents of our hearts. It goes into the bone and the bone marrow; it touches your soul and your spirit. It opens up your motives and thoughts. This is what you should do then in prayer:
Subject your motives and prayer to God’s Word always. It will filter the right from the wrong. When it does, be honest and sincere with yourself and make amends. The word of God is meant to culture us – it shows us how to do everything.
So we have seen from the 3rd law of prayer that your motive for your prayer is key; That you should NOT BE SELFISH IN PRAYER – BECAUSE GOD IS NOT ONLY YOUR FATHER BUT OUR FATHER”

Luke 11:2
And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. THY KINGDOM COME. THY WILL BE DONE, AS IN HEAVEN, SO IN EARTH.

The 4th law of Prayer is:
Always remember that, GOD ALWAYS KNOWS BEST, so seek HIS WILL in your prayer.
Human beings can only see the present moment where they are. They don’t see what’s going on that same moment elsewhere; They don’t know what’s going to happen the next hour, the next day or the next week.

In our short-sightedness and ignorance, we pray for things which if granted will not be helpful to us in the long run. GOD KNOWS BEST. Don’t stubbornly insist on your will, seek God’s will for your life, for that is ultimately good for you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Sometimes the best answer the Lord can give to our request is to not grant the request. When you understand this, you don’t get agitated and anxious with your prayer.
Just take a flashback at your own life – if God had granted all the things you ever asked in prayer, will your life be anything close to what it is now? Definitely not.

The child sees a dagger/knife being used in a movie, and asks for one to be bought for him. The good father knowing far more than the child on daggers and injuries and death, says NO to the request. This child might cry and whine and stamp his legs in the air, but that NO is exactly the answer he needed for his own safety and security. This is sometimes the case with us and God. So, be still and know that He is God and He knows best.

Can you trust his divine wisdom and discretion?
God always answers your prayers, not according to what your ignorance expects, but according to his love, wisdom and will. LEARN TO BASE YOUR PRAYERS ON THE FATHER’S GOOD WILL – it’s the best place for you as a son/daughter. Amen!
