1 Corinthians 13:7
Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
2 Corinthians 5:14
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
E.W Kenyon once told the story of a little boy who had grown up in an atmosphere of love and had never heard his mother and father quarrel, never heard an insulting word spoken in their home. One time he was made to go live with his uncle while his parents travelled for some days.
An argument ensued, and for the first time in his young life he saw a man insulting his wife and the child listened in amazement and began to cry. His uncle took him in his arms and said, “Danny, what is the matter dear?” The boy, still crying said, “I thought you loved aunty”. “I do”, the uncle replied. “Oh no you don’t. You don’t love like daddy loves, or like mommy does. They never insult each other. They never say bad words to each other”. The man looked at the child embarrassed and turned to his wife and said, “Dear, I guess we have missed a great deal in life, haven’t we?”
Wouldn’t you want to live in such an atmosphere of love? The Love of God when let loose in a person, constrains him/her. It holds us back from saying or doing what we should not. And compels us to do and say what we must. In a home where love reigns, we don’t injure one another with words and actions. Not even a single abusive word. LET LOVE REIGN IN YOUR HOME, BELOVED. Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
