1 Peter 2:19-20 For this is  commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is  it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

If you are a believer and you have not suffered anything for Christ’s sake, you have never been insulted because you are a believer, then there are question marks about your Christianity.

So are we saying, you should be expecting persecutions. Yes. If you are going to qualify for the crown of life, you must have persecution and must have suffered trials for the name of Christ’s sake. Not the suffering that’s due to your own laziness and bad choices. If you suffer for a wrongdoing, you deserve that one.

Here this please:

” In fact, EVERYONE who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12)

This is an ungodly world and we are in hostile territory. If you have never been insulted or maligned for your faith in God and in the Bible; if you have never been abused for your stand on homosexuality, immorality, abortion and all these perversions and vices then it’s possible you don’t have any stand at all. YOU MUST CHECK YOUR SPIRITUAL ALIGNMENT.

When the world realizes you don’t go in the same direction as they, they will speak evil of you(1Pet 4:4) , but don’t be bothered at all. BLESSED ARE YOU FOR GOING THROUGH THAT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD’S SAKE. Amen!
