Jude‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭AMP‬‬ [20] But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit,

James 5:16b KJV The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

The 5th thing that helps with the reception of the word of God to the heart is SPEAKING IN TONGUES & PRAYER before receiving the word of God.

Prayer fertilizes the soil of your heart and makes it ready for God’s word to be implanted. You see the way farmers can take weeks and months to fertilize their farmlands before the cultivation of the crops? They understand that the land must be ready else the seed sown will not germinate and will not be fruitful. That is what prayer is to the heart of man.

Which is why, before you take in God’s word, you must ventilate your heart with fervent prayer. There are many believers who don’t understand that, and always delay their church attendance, to miss the prayer time. They deem that period a bother; no wonder during the preaching of the word most will be dozing, or the word of God simply will not enter their spirit.

Understand that, It is the spirit of God who prepares your heart to be receptive to God’s Word, and you engage His presence through prayer. Hallelujah! Have a glorious day beloved. Amen.
